Interview with Guardian Hacker
Our chief manager Zorro got within his online magazine TIKOTAKU the opportunity to get an interview with Guardian Hacker. It is a trip to the scence Japanese music clubs.
TIKOTAKU is a Spanish magazine, but here you can read the interview with vocalist Asami in English.

Zorro: What is the meaning of the band name Guardian Hacker?
Asami: Guardian Hacker means that a person has two contrary natures, it's a sense of the Japanese.
Zorro: What are some GH releases?
Asami: In 2005, we released our 1st Album "On one's own authority". We then released a Mini-album “a new scenery" in late 2006.
We are currently working on a new album that will be released in 2008.
Zorro: How did GH come together?
Asami: I went to a local music store, where I put up flyers to start a band. Soon after Takashi contacted me, and GH began.
Zorro: Do you have a day job?
Asami: I was a teacher, really hehe.
Zorro: Would you still be doing that if you were not in the band?
Asami: Maybe ...I’d probably work in my hometown, and help develop it into something more. And of course, I would still always sing.
Zorro: What are yours favorites Japanese artists?
Asami: I love KANA, Kazuyoshi Nakamura, DAZZLE VISION and Pay money to my pain.
Zorro: With the little that I know about Jmusic, I feel that the Jpop, Jrock, Visual and, the Live Clubs are apart from the other scenes. Do you agree with this? What are your views on that?
Asami: I agree with it, but it’s not fully right. I think that the Visual Rock and Indies scene is very unique and far apart from the commercialized mainstream.
Zorro: Is musical scene very competitive in Japan?
Asami: The Music scene is more strategic then competitive.
Zorro: Were you in any other bands before or now?
Asami: I was in one other band before GH, but currently I have stuck with Guardian Hacker.
Zorro: What do you think of people downloading your music over torrents, peer to peer networks? Do you think it helps make more fans around the world, just bad business?
Asami: I think its both, but if I truly like a band I would still always buy the CD.
Zorro: Do you know anything about Costa Rica?
Asami: The Costa Rica method is a Japanese election tactic. And that the country is full of rich nature and wildlife.
Zorro: Do you now anything about Costa Rica music scene?
Asami: I listen to it it!
Zorro: What would need to happen for GH come to America (and why not Costa Rica) someday?
Asami: With effort, luck and your support, one day we will.
Zorro: What is the goal for GH, where do you think you’ll be in 5 years?
Asami: I really don’t know, we are more concerned about living today, and letting the future unfold itself.
Zorro: This is a very necessary question: Do you like Anime? What are your favorites?
Asami: We all love Evangelion.
Zorro: Finally, is their anything you’d like to say to your Latin-American fans?
Asami: I will try to come to Costa Rica by all means possible, and I want to make a song for our fans in Costa Rica.
Zorro: Thank you so much for being part of TICOTAKU.COM. And from all your fans on this side of the world, please keep us updated on your plans in the future.
Asami: Guardian Hackers keep on rockin’ and show us your world!
Arigato! Thank you very much!
