Interview with MUCC
at TOC/08 in Chicago

ZORRO (von jrockradio.com): So far, how has your experience been in Rockstar Taste Of Chaos?
Tatsurou (vocalist): When we did Jrock Revolution Concert last year that was like advanced of many jrock bands to jrock fans already, but here in Rockstar Taste Of Chaos are more American bands and come a lot of people who are not necessary fans of jrock. And we play for so much just rock fans, and see them really enjoy the music and we are so happy about it.

ZORRO: Rockstar Taste of Chaos is your first big tour in the USA: 35 dates; are you surprised to see fans of MUCC in each concert?
Tatsurou: We see Japanese bands came to Europe and make the bases and communicate well with international fans. But this time we are really surprise about. Yes, definitely are many jrock bands and MUCC fans here in America. Also in Jrock Revolution Concert last year, we learn every day about each band has fans, same here in Rockstar Taste Of Chaos.

ZORRO: Will you play the latest releases or play the old classics too?
Tatsurou: Is a combination. We play new songs that not are releases here in USA yet, and old songs. We combined the best of MUCC for this shows.

ZORRO: Tell us something about D'espairs Ray and THE UNDERNEATH that you discovered in this tour?
Tatsurou: We spend a lot of time with D'espairs Ray. Also I spend more time with them than some other members. I'm afraid D'espairs Ray will be bored of me pretty soonŠ (he is laughing)

ZORRO: Do people recognize you when you are walking in the streets here in the USA?
Tatsurou: Not yet. (he is laughing) That would be fun .

ZORRO: What do you think about the work Jrock Revolution is doing to promote Jrock overseas?
Tatsurou: That is really fantastic and is wonderful the opportunity they give us. We work very hard and should expands the jrock overseas, I think that is wonderful.

ZORRO: 10th anniversary, world tours and releases, thousands of fans. Looking back, do you think this was the result of A specific well-laid plan, chance or destiny?
Tatsurou: We make one step on the time, and we did anything that's necessary at the time and when we watch all that, we are very happy about it.

ZORRO: In your beginnings, as far as we know, you were influenced and supported by Cali≠Gari. Do you currently supporting or mentoring any young bands?
Tatsurou: When we went to see Cali≠Gari and they were our mentor band of course. We just love them, and Cali≠Gari doesn't come like: do this, or go there, was more like: we like you and we want be there for you. Is the same thing with a young band that have affinity with us. Come to us, we don't want say them do what we think or we do! We want support them and be there.

ZORRO: Did you know that MUCC has many fans in Latin countries like Costa Rica, Chile, and Brazil? What would your message be to all of us who are hoping to see MUCC one day in one of these countries?
Tatsurou: This is the third time in the USA and our first big tour here. Definitely next time we will do one-man tour, and we hope you come to see and support us, and sure we want go to Latin America - wait for us!!

ZORRO: Thanks so much for your time. From Jrockradio.com and as a representative of Latin America I hope we can see MUCC coming soon.
Tatsurou: Thanks so much!
