August 23rd LIVE MUSIC HALL Cologne
Kagrra, had their first live performance in Germany at the Jrock Invasion in Cologne, and after their short show was a huge success they decided they would come back for another spectacular event. Now here they stood on stage in Cologne again for their first show on their European tour this year.
The concert took place at the Live Music Hall, where over 300 hundred fans met in anticipation since the forenoon of August 23rd. Even with such a great amount of fans the mood was amazing and fortunately enough, it was not as chaotic as most concerts usually are. The weather had kept well until shortly after we reached the front of the hall at about half past 4. It started to rain but it was a short shower and didn’t change the amount of excitement in the air.
The closer we got to the entrance it became louder and louder until the doors were finally opened. Without any barriers, the entrance passed pretty fast and the organization of the entrance process was really smooth.
After the last few fans found a place, the concert began with a Rock:ID typical welcome. The public was enthusiastic when Kagrra, finally made their grand entrance. The first to appear on stage was Izumi(drummer) under jubilations of the fans.
They opened the concert with the song "Miyako", electrifying the public from the very begin. The whole show had great new songs from their latest album with a twist of some familiar songs from past albums. It was a multi-faceted mixture, which was supported by the voices of the public and rhythmically moving hand fans.
Kagrra, brought an impressive performance yet again and the sound in the Live Music Hall was absolutely amazing. All five of the members showed their excellent skills as live musicians, who can hold their high quality and crowd excitement until the very end of a concert. I noticed it especially in Isshi's unique voice.
Not only was their music amazing but between the songs they showed great enthusiasm. Equipped with a paper prepared with German phrases, vocalist Isshi gave his best at speaking in the national language of the fans, and they were greatly pleased by his attempt. Even though not all of his words were understood, his most clearly spoken sentence was "Hab ihr Spaß?" (Do you have fun?), which crossed his lips without any problems. During the entire length of the concert he did is best to speak with the public. He also handed the microphone over to Nao(bassist), who was not really able to speak as clearly as Isshi, but tried his best. He had to laugh and eventually tried it in English. His message was basically limited to "You think I’m sexy?" and "You want me?", to which the fans responded with great admiration. The band gave an awesome show and the crowd was on their best behavior.
The concert had ended fast, but the fans were not willing to let the five musicians leave so quickly. For nearly five minutes there were shouts for an encore throughout the entire hall, and not for a second did they stop. As the shouts became even louder Kagrra, returned on to the stage to turn it up again to play a much desired encore for their fans. At last after the one and a half hour concert they said bye with the last song "Sakura maichiru ano oka de", while Isshi held the microphone out into the crowd to hear the choir of the fans sounds through the hall.
After the concert I met with my teammate again and we sat down in front of the hall and changed our impressions about the show. We found it to be a great and successful evening. Kagrra, gave an awesome concert and will surely come back to Germany again.
We want to thank Rock:ID sincerely and all the stuff, which also helped us get our tickets for our lottery.
3 of our 5 winners sent their report to us for this article. Thanks a lot.

"Thanks a lot I got to go to this wonderful concert thanks to your lottery.
It was an absolutely amazing atmosphere and Kagrra, played such an awesome show. They were even better live then they are already on CD. It was really great that they tried to speak German with us during the whole concert, not every band does that!
What I was annoyed by was that I didn't catch Nao’s pick (I missed it by just a little) nor did I get autographs of the members. That’s a pity. It would have been even better if I got some.
When they played “Urei”, I couldn’t help but to cry. I did not expect them to play my favorite song."

"The concert was very impressive. The entrance was very well organized, a bit tight, but that’s something you can’t really avoid. The sound of the hall was also really clear and all in all the atmosphere was very pleasant.
Kagrra, really impressed me. I am a huge fan of the band. On stage it really seemed like the band had a lot of fun during the concert.
The concert itself was very successful and in all cases commendable."
