Taste of Chaos Report
March 11th ARAGON BALLROOM Chicago
Jrockradio.com came as press invited to the Taste of Chaos in Chicago at ARAGON BALLROOM. The first thing we note was the style of the place. Built in 1926 ARAGON BALLROOM started as a ballroom in the 20’s and is also a copy of one in Spain. With an unique design the place captures the old Spain style and the one of the 20’s as well.
We arrived at 3:00 pm. Because of the long line we released this date was sold out. Inside were two stages, one big and an other smaller at the side. It was at the second one where the first band of that night, Bless the Fall, started the show. After that D’espairs Ray took us by surprise at the big stage. With a visual fashion and great scenic presence they owned the public really fast. When D’espairs Ray performed we noticed they have many fans in Chicago. From the beginning to the end of the show of D’espairsRay they captive everyone. So far, one of the best performances of the night.
After the show D’espairs Ray take some time for answer some questions to us.

At the same time an other American band played at the second stage: Idiot Pilot. As next act MUCC started their performance at the big stage. MUCC showed their characteristic appearance, but vocalist Tatsurou and bassist YUKKE were dressed more traditional Japanese. MUCC showed so much energy, Tatsurou spoke in English and interacted with the public constantly. The audience sang with the band. The expressions and movements of Tatsurou and the sounds of the band created a unique mystique in the scenery. During the same time MUCC was playing, we can see THE UNDERNEATH was prepared at the second stage. So when MUCC finished, we knew what is coming.
Before the MUCC performance we had the chance for interview them and sharing some time with their vocalist Tatsorou.

THE UNDERNEATH came with all their power. The guitarist showed abilities no only in playing guitar, but also with the jumps and movements to their music. To be at the smaller stage was not a problem for THE UNDERNEATH, who gave an excellent performance. Their clothes were a mix of Visual and Gothic.
Without a doubt their participation in Taste of Chaos will bring many fans, and new opportunities, also with the release of the album “Moon Flower” in America.
A number of bands went on with the show, but we left for meet THE UNDERNEATH for an interview and speak about their experience during the tour.
